It's clear that this resort caters a lot to corporate events so keep that in mind when booking. The pool area is nice but very loud there is no quiet pool as both are next to each other and overtaken by corporate events, if you are looking for peace and quiet time your only alternative is the beach with the cleaning crew and their machinery. It's like they forget that we also paid to be here, that was very disappointing. The one thing we found is that you are treated really well that is until there is a corporate event at that point you don't matter anymore as everything is geared toward that event and its members, all of the sudden restaurants are reserved until 9pm and we were told you could reserve at any restaurants. A gentleman told me that he has been there for 2 weeks and was not able to get into the water, They do work really hard in removing it but that means loud machinery. The sargassum was really bad, it's usually not an issue for me as I understand that it's part of nature but this was way too much, felt like getting into soup. The beach is really nice but not that long if you plan on doing a lot of walking. The drinks are ok, to us they fell like sugar bombs so I was not a fan, The food is good at all the restaurants and by far our favorite was the Mexican. Just came back from an 8 nights stay at this resort and it was truly a great vacation.

In fact we haven’t been home for 24 hours and we just booked our next trip …., can’t wait to come back and see all of the wonderful people and smiling faces. Secrets Maroma is just on another level, they’ve certainly exceeded our expectations. We made so many friends here, it was truly one of the best trips ever. The staff here is what really makes the difference, these men and women work really hard to make sure the guests are happy and having fun. Thanks also to Alberto our waiter at the pool who made sure we had drinks anytime we that we needed. Special thank you to our concierge Roger in bldg #25 !!!, he was amazing. As far as the many food/dining options, we particularly enjoyed the Italian & French, as well as the preferred club restaurant. The grounds are beautiful, and the pool(s) are amazing. This was our first visit to this resort, we were blown away with the high level of service from EVERY person we encountered here. Just returned from a 5 night stay at Secrets Maroma.
